|
| | | |
| The American Hospital Association (AHA), which is a public policy advocate and information resource for 85% of the hospitals in the United States, maintains more than 50 affiliated Websites. Both updating the sites and information retrieval by users were complicated, time-consuming tasks.
ABCD
- Partnering with Sun Microsystems, Interwoven implemented a centralized portal infrastructure called HospitalConnect. HospitalConnect provides umbrella access to all Websites affiliated with the AHA.
- Hundreds of contributors create, preview, and publish site content in their own “work areas” without interfering with content created by others. Searches now take minutes as opposed to hours. Maintenance costs have been minimized. And consolidating traffic—as many as 23,000 visitors per day—opens up new revenue opportunities.

| ANAO assists the Australian Auditor’s General in handling all of the financial and performance audits of the Australian government. Through this, the group generates a large amount of paperwork, as a typical audit results in 1-70 boxes of paper alone. As a result, ANAO was spending around $140,000 on storage and even more on additional resources that were needed for filing. Through its use of Interwoven WorkSite and RecordsManager, the department has been able to move all of their files into an electronic document management system, which has enabled it to easily search their files and cutback expenditures on resources and storage.

| "Interwoven’s comprehensive suite of content management solutions have provided our company with a powerful alternative to manual processes that proved to be both costly and time-consuming. By enabling real-time Web site updates, we are able to meet the time-sensitive demands of our highly dynamic industry. Arkema’s business users can now manage and deliver their own Web content in a timely and efficient manner without reliance on technical
assistance. This important capability has freed up our data processing resources to handle other high-value work while reducing our time-to-Web updates to just under two minutes."
Jean-Pierre Asun

| Arkema is a global leader in chemical production with operations in 40 countries but, upon becoming an independent entity, the company's brand was relatively unknown. Arkema needed to quickly establish a strong online presence for their newly created brand. Interwoven had previously created a highly effective portal for the company and subsequently implemented their new Website-2 months earlier than anticipated, on time, and on budget. Business users create and deliver content without IT assistance-in minutes at a fraction of their former costs. Reliability has improved as well:the system successfully handled 16,000 visits the first day Arkema was listed on the Paris Stock Exchange

| "As a result of our innovative evaluation strategy, we chose Interwoven’s WorkSite system to manage our documents and our business. As well as deploying a system that we knew would meet the needs of the firm well in advance of implementation, we also have a head start on establishing a really strong relationship with Interwoven as a strategic partner"
Orlando Milford
, Applications Manager
"For businesses that revolve around documents, such as law firms like Ashurst, radically updating our processes is mandatory if we are to keep up with the increasingly complex transactions we work on at the same time as meeting the demands of new regulatory schemes. This makes it more critical than ever that we make the best decision we can first time around. Interwoven had a good handle on the size and scope of the priorities that needed to be addressed and confidence that its expertise and product could rise to the challenge. So far we haven’t been disappointed."
Orlando Milford
, Applications Manager
| | | |
| Ashurst, one of the UK’s largest law firms, was accruing 500,000 new documents and 18 million new e-mails a year. The company needed an efficient way to manage and track documents and e-mails—one that did not overburden their busy lawyers—to remain competitive.
- Interwoven’s solution for document management provided electronic matter files to Ashurst’s geographically dispersed teams, which allowed them to co-ordinate critical business activities.
- Processes for storing and retrieving documents were easier and faster, regulatory compliance was significantly less costly, and business efficiencies were created through wider knowledge sharing.

| "By enabling us to serve up personalized, timely product, services and solutions information across every channel and across the globe, Interwoven has helped us transform our Web presence into a major competitive advantage."
Renee Rodgers
, Vice President
"Interwoven has made it possible for us to deliver personalized, customer-facing content to local markets throughout our organization quickly, efficiently, and in perfect synchronization. As a result, Avaya has achieved a dramatic return on investment, including redeploying 90 percent of our publishing team, reducing the amount spent on publishing vendors by almost 75 percent, and improving end user content satisfaction by 20 percent over the past year. Moving forward, we plan to extend our Interwoven customer experience implementation to encompass customer self-service, enhancing our customers' overall experience with Avaya."
Renee Rodgers
, Vice President
| | | |
| Avaya, a global leader in business communications, inherited 880 Websites as well as numerous intranets and extranets when it was spun off from Lucent Technologies. The sheer volume and diversity of the sites and the over 500 content creators resulted in inefficient content distribution rife with divergent branding, messaging, and product information. Interwoven’s Marketing Asset Management Solution enabled Avaya to leverage both their intranet and Internet presence to roll out a customer experience management strategy—one that provided timely, consistent, on-brand information to every customer, employee, and partner. The payoff was significant: a 20% increase in customer satisfaction; a 75% reduction in content time-to-market; and a 75-90% reduction in publishing costs.

- To provide a consistent customer experience across channels, Interwoven helped BT leverage its existing investment in Interwoven TeamSite for its wholesale channel to power its other three lines of businesses.
- BT can now measure the company’s ratio of online transactions to total transactions across the company. New products and services get to market faster because the time-to-Web for new content is now a day or less.

| "The combination of Interwoven WorkSite and Interwoven Records Manager will finally give us the information management capabilities we need to treat all documents—physical, electronic, and e-mail—the same way and with a uniform retention policy."
Paul Bromwell
, CIO
"Records Manager Jason Cebe, who is responsible for managing physical records in all seven Frost Brown Todd offices, sees process standardization as crucial to successfully managing records across two, recently merged firms. “With Interwoven Records Manager in place, we will have one centralized records management system that any user can use to see what records exist across the enterprise, not just in their office"
Jason Cebe
, Records Manager
"We think we’re on the front-end of the curve with Interwoven. It’s clear that the island approach doesn’t make sense. We liked Interwoven’s approach to Document Management—it’s very reliable and everyone understands it. I went into the decision to implement Interwoven Records Manager with the assumption it would take advantage of a lot of that Document Management value. The whole idea that the products work together seamlessly is a really nice thing and it’s something our IT staff likes a lot."

| |
| | | |
|
| | | |
| Gallagher Sharp is a trial and business practice firm focused on the defense of civil claims and lawsuits for corporations, insurance companies and their policy holders.
- After nearly a decade of working with Interwoven, the firm found it was time to upgrade its filing practices. Inconsistencies in manual document profiling were making it difficult to find items even within a single matter.
- A search by matter number, for example, could yield over 5000 hits.
- Working with Interwoven and partner Smart Solutions, the firm has rolled out electronic matter files firm-wide.
- The results: the firm’s lawyers are better able to maximize the value of content, expertise and best practices; its unified content environment aids in efficient file handing and simplifies e-discovery; its automated new matter opening process streamlines the assignment of new cases and the creation of a structured electronic matter file.

After acquiring a number of companies, which undermined brand consistency, they launched a sweeping Web initiative to achieve end-to-end control, efficiency, and productivity from procurement through customer-facing communications. Interwoven implemented the Interwoven Web Content Management Platform to consolidate Heidelberg’s country-specific Websites onto a new global Website. Two other Interwoven solutions were also implemented: one to centralize the management of its digital assets (the Interwoven Digital Asset Management Solution) and one to streamline its business processes (the Interwoven Collaborative Document Management Solution). Centrally managed Web content development improved brand consistency and the customer experience while reducing costs by several million Euros. Improved global collaboration and centralized digital asset management streamlined workflows, accelerated processes, and drove increased savings worldwide.

| Given the spread of Indians across the globe, their distinct preferences and the peculiarities of global payment systems, the ICICI Group’s Money2India remittance product suite goes far beyond the traditional offerings in the banking sector. The suite offers mass scale as well as niche remittance products that leverage the local payment systems in the sending countries. While it sounds simple, it involves a complex web of infrastructure and relationships that spans the originating international banks and every possible disbursement channel in India. The company’s management engaged Autonomy Optimost to help identify ways of improving the conversion rate for visitors who arrived at the site as a result of an advertising click-through. Given the widespread location of customers, management was also keen to better understand the differences in consumer behaviour between markets. Autonomy Optimost had helped Money2India to identify a winning creative; one that produced 34.82% more clicks on the register button and which was successful across all geographies.

"At one point, we recognized that a major competitor had omitted the Internet channel from a major marketing campaign. With Interwoven, we are able to meet this regulation without a lot of effort or stress."

| With more than 2.5 million gas customers, KeySpan is the largest natural gas distributor in Northeastern United States and the largest investor-owned electric generator in New York State. - KeySpan deployed the Interwoven Content Management Platform and Interwoven MetaTagger to power its external Websites and to tag content as regulated or unregulated.
- KeySpan has seen a three-fold increase in Website usage, decreased costs as a result of online self-service applications, and increased sales of its products and services.

"It’s a fundamental change in the way we operate,” says Terry Pressley, Director of IT, Leonard, Street and Deinard, who observes that the system’s flexibility has accommodated a broad range of preferences. “Some of our users prefer a strictly hierarchical structure, accessing content by navigating through folders. Others prefer to search. Both types can co-exist easily in WorkSite, and find what they’re looking for with equal speed either way."

- Today, the Interwoven Document Management Solution powers electronic-matter folders for the firm, providing integrated document and e-mail management in a single environment. Integration with the firm’s time and billing system and structural alignment with its records management system extend the solution’s benefits.
- Now, attorneys find all document types faster and use a firm-wide organizational model for work. A common folder structure for paper and electronic records streamlines processes and makes them more efficient.

| As the leading online destination connecting industrial sellers and buyers worldwide, Thomas Publishing phased out the production of its printed directory, Thomas Register of American Manufactures, and launched ThomasNet.com which provides access to over 607,000 industrial companies, indexed by 67,000 categories as well as thousands of supplier catalogs with over 20 million CAD drawings.
- Today, ThomasNet.com logs more than 3 million user sessions each month and the company has proven purchasing professionals and engineers put an even greater premium on quick and easy access to information online than ever before.
- After an initial and unsuccessful attempt at site optimization, ThomasNet turned to Interwoven Optimost.
- ThomasNet’s indirect revenue model calls for a more specific approach to testing than simply maximizing traffic. After conducting a series of tests to see exactly how ThomasNet’s visitors were interacting with the site, the results had dramatic impact that helped increase user interaction with content, make it easier for visitors to find needed information and increase the frequency of their visits.
- The company rebuilt its Website based on Optimost findings and as a result more than doubled key conversion metrics such as completing an RFQ and clicking through to an industrial supplier’s Website, sometimes by more than 100%.
- And the company recognizes the long-term benefit of ongoing testing and is increasing the pace of new experiments to drive even greater improvements in customer engagement online.
